SFS – Scandinavian Forum Switzerland (formerly known as SNS Schweiz-Liechtenstein) is an independent non-profit based in Zürich which organises regular seminars and biannual forums on global, social, environmental, and economic issues.

Task
Following its transition from an interest group of the Swedish think tank SNS to an independent nonprofit, SFS needed a full brand identity that could carry intellectual weight while also capturing the warmth and energy of their seminars and community events. They required a system that could work across formats—from event visuals to a dynamic website—while expressing their new identity.
Approach
We created a complete brand identity for SFS, inspired by the northern lights. These colourful, dynamic forms became a metaphor for active minds and sparking ideas, suitable to a non-profit focused on dialogue, learning, and community.
The visual language was designed to be energetic, fun, and intelligent. Glowing gradients, soft edges, and light-inspired imagery to evoke motion, imagination, and accessibility. This identity became the foundation for digital communications, social content, and website. To support ongoing seminars and member events, we developed a flexible system of social media templates. These designs balanced clarity and engagement with consistent branding—ideal for promoting speakers and themes.
Outcome
The new identity helped SFS communicate confidently with both new and returning audiences. Whether through bold event invitations or the northern-lights–inspired website, the brand now reflects the intellectual vibrancy and character of the community it represents.
